Central Orange County Alumnae Panhellenic is a community
based
organization ,
affiliated
with the
National
Panhellenic
Conference
(NPC),
whose
membership
is
composed
of fifteen
representative
alumnae
from the
twenty-six
NPC member
group
fraternities.
Central
Orange
County is
made up of
the
following
Orange
County
cities:
Garden
Grove,
Orange,
North
Tustin,
Santa Ana,
Tustin,
and
Villa
Park. For
over
eighty
years, the
purpose of
COCAP has
been:
1.
To INFORM
fraternity
women of
current
trends.
2.
To
PROMOTE
the
fraternity
system.
3. To
IMPROVE
the
Panhellenic
image.
4. To
STIMULATE
a
continuing
interest
in
Panhellenic
affairs.
The
organization
accomplishes
these
purposes
in the
community
by
providing
an
informative
website
and by
raising
funds
for
scholarships
for area
high
school
seniors
attending
universities
with NPC
member
group
fraternities
as well as
NPC
members at
Chapman
University.
COCAP
raises the
funds for
scholarships
by hosting
the
annual
Athena
Benefit
Luncheon,
which
honors
female
volunteers
who
live
or
volunteer
in Central
Orange
County.
Our member
groups are
also
involved
individually
within the
community
in various
philanthropic
and social
service
projects.
