General Information about COCAP
Central Orange County Alumnae Panhellenic is a community based organization, affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), whose membership is composed of fifteen representative alumnae from the twenty-six NPC member group fraternities. Central Orange County is made up of the following Orange County cities: Orange, North Tustin, Santa Ana, Tustin, and Villa Park. For over eighty years, the purpose of COCAP has been:
1. To INFORM fraternity women of current trends.
2. To PROMOTE the fraternity system.
3. To IMPROVE the Panhellenic image.
4. To STIMULATE a continuing interest in Panhellenic affairs.
The organization accomplishes these purposes in the community by providing an informative website and by raising funds for scholarships for area high school seniors attending universities with NPC member group fraternities as well as NPC members at Chapman University. COCAP raises the funds for scholarships by hosting the annual Athena Benefit Luncheon, which honors female volunteers who live or volunteer in Central Orange County. Our member groups are also involved individually within the community in various philanthropic and social service projects.
